Olivia Hartman, MT-BC

My name is Olivia, and I am honored to be your doula! As a music therapist-by-background, clinical counselor-in-training, and DONA International-trained-doula, I know the value of person-centered care and keeping the client at the focal point of my work. I am able to fully acknowledge, celebrate, and support the values, beliefs, wishes, and experiences that each of my clients hold close. Whether you desire a natural birth, full support from medical intervention, or a little of both, I am confident that my knowledge of the childbirth process, comfort measures, and the emotional experience of it all will be beneficial for you and your birthing partner as we journey through labor and birth together.

My job as a doula is to fill in the gaps and help you advocate for yourself during your birth. I can provide comforting touch in painful times, ideas for positioning your body depending on where you are in your labor progress, guidance for your birthing partner, and opportunities for autonomy and choice through it all.

Lastly, my support and knowledge is still available to you after your baby is born. As you venture through postpartum, I can help you integrate your new baby into your existing world through feeding and sleep support and providing necessary referrals when needed. I am excited for you, dedicated to your wishes, and already obsessed with the little one(s) we will soon meet!

In my personal time I love writing music, riding horses, thrifting for treasures, and snuggling with my kitty!
